History:

She was born in Vitoria in 1901. She was a Spanish researcher with and bachelor in Geography and History and studied at the Cardenal Cisneros High School of Madrid from 1921 to 1924. In 1936 she was scholarship holder at the Centre of Historical Studies, which was attached to the Junta para la Ampliación de Estudios e Investigaciones Científicas (JAE).

Besides, some years earlier, she was a consiliar de Letras along with Ángel González Palencia at the San Isidro Brotherhood and the Agrupación Profesional de Doctores y Licenciados en Ciencias y Letras, which was stablished as a professional institution in 1934.

She passed the preparatory courses of 1936 to become a teacher together with other 50 candidates, 13 of whom were women. However, Franco never recognised this course.

Context:

En 1936 acudió como investigadora en el Archivo Histórico Nacional (A.H.N.) de Madrid para consultar documentación medieval de la Sección de Clero.
