History:

Jesuit and Spanish author, teacher and researcher.

He was a founder student of the Seminario Pontificio de Comillas. He joined the Society of Jesus in 1895 and devoted himself to teaching humanities in Burgos and Carrión de Los Condes (Palencia) until 1920. He was the editor of the magazine Razón y Fe of Madrid with which he collaborated before. He was the superior of the residential school of Valladolid and the headmaster of the seminary school of Carrion de Los Condes.

Writing was his major occupation. He founded and ran the magazine Miscelanea Comillas between 1945 and 1960. Besides, he ran also the pastoral magazine Sal Terrae between 1946 y 1953. As a result of his research, several important writings of San Juan de Avila, Luisa de Carvajal y Mendoza and Jesuit authors from the 16th century. He died in 1969 in Comillas (Cantabria).
