History:

Spanish professor. He was born in La Coruña and died in Madrid. He was the son of Narciso Fort and Francisca de Pazos. He had several children and one of them was Enrique Fort y Guyenet (architect and professor at the College of Architecture in Madrid). He started his academic training by being accepted at the Conciliar Seminary of Leon. He also studied Civil and Canonical Law at the University of Santiago and he got the baccalaureate on Canons. In addition, he also got the baccalaureate on Philosophy and a bachelor degree on Laws and a doctorate. He studied Civil and Canonical Law at the University of Valladolid and he got the baccalaureate on Laws. He was awarded the title of Regent of the Faculty of Jurisprudence at the University of Madrid. He started his academic career being a director and a lecturer at the Senior High School of Pamplona and San Sebastian. He made use of several chairs in different universities. He was appointed professor of General and Specific Ecclesiastic Discipline of Spain at the University of Barcelona. He was transferred to the University of Madrid where he gave lessons of Literary History of the Ecclesiastic Sciences; and Introduction to the Universal and Particular Elements of the Spanish Canonical Law. Then, he moved to the University of Salamanca where he made use of the chair of Canonical Law. He got the chair of History and Ecclesiastic Discipline at the University of Seville and he was professor of Canonical Law at the Universidad Libre deVitoria. In addition, he was appointed Rector. When it disappeared, he took office of the chair of Catholic Studies in Madrid, supported by the Association of Catholics in Spain.

He also held the following positions:

Lawyer at the Royal Councils of La Coruña, San Sebastian and Madrid.

He belonged to the commission in charge of examining the project of the Spanish Civil Code.

Numerary scholar and librarian at the Academy of History.

Collaborator of the newspaper La Esperanza.

Member of the Economic Society of Fiends of the Country of Santiago and Pamplona.
