Spanish architect and architecture's historian. PhD in Architecture by the Escuela Superior de Arquitectura of Madrid. He graduated in Exact Sciences by the Universidad de Madrid and got the degree on technical urban planning.
He held different official positions, such as Conservator Architect of the Ministry of Finance and National Monuments. Juan de Herrera's architecture scholar and researcher. He did a great number of publications on that subject.
He was academic of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando (Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando), and honorary academic of the following academies: Real de la Historia, San Jorge de Barcelona, San Carlos de Valencia and Santa Isabel de Hungría of Seville. A member of the Hispanic Society of New York. Adoptive son of Lerma House.
