History:

Spanish politician and aristocrat. He was born in Las Palmas on 19 September 1900. Son of José María Fernando Antonio del Castillo-Olivares y Fierro, son of the 1st Marquis of Muni, Fernando León y Castillo, and of Josefa Van de Walle y Fierro, daughter of Luis Van de Walle y Quintana, 6th Marquis of Guisla.

He got married in the Iglesia de los Remedios de Los Llanos de Aridane, on 23 February 1924, to Manuela de Sotomayor y Sotomayor. They had together four daughters: María del Carmen, María Rosa, María del Carmen II and María de las Nieves.

He graduated in Law by the Universidad de La Laguna. Government representative. President of the Insular Council of La Palma. Lawyer in the Cortes. Adoptive son of de Los Llanos de Aridane. Vice President of the Mancomunidad Provincial Interinsular de Santa Cruz. Confrere of San Evangelista, in La Laguna, since 1946. Cross of the First Class of the Civil Order of Beneficience. He passed away in 1966.
