History:

Spanish film-maker and photographer. In 1887, he established a photography studio in Conquistador de Palma street, n.28. In 1903, he moved it to De la Marina street, opening in the same establishment the Truyol Cinematography, where he showed both foreign films and his own films. It was in this way that the establishment became the first cinematography with regular session of Palma.

Once he passed away, his children Bárbara and Juan Truyol became the owners of the studio.

Josep combined photography and film-making of the most emblematic places of the island with portrait photos.
