Spanish professor at the Universities of Granada and Madrid. Arnau balanced his teaching activity with the performance of relevant positions in the public administration, and politics career. He was born in Soria, being his parents Juan Faustino Arnau and Rita Lambea. At his baptism, they named Arnau Víctor Felipe. Arnau was appointed Religion and Moral Ideology professor at the 2nd Educational Institute by the Council of Calatayud. In Soria, he obtained the same title. In 1847, he was appointed as well Philosophy and it History professor at the University of Granada, Faculty of Philosophy. Arnau finally was named Civil, Commercial, Criminal and Procedures Law professor, and Commercial Law and Customs Legislation lecturer by the Central University of Madrid. He specialized in the customs legislation of the countries with which Spain has stronger commercial relationships. Moreover, he was appointed dean of the University of Barcelona. Arnau worked as well as the Director-General of Public Education, lawyer at the Bar Association of Madrid and deputy member of the Ministers of Mercy and Justice. He also was elected a member in both Congress and Senate, in several Legislatures.
