Spanish professor. He was the son of Manuel Barta and Crispiniana Cortés, and he got married to Atanasia Yarza. He started his academic training at the University of Zaragoza with the baccalaureates of Philosophy and Canons. Then, he was awarded a degree and a doctorate in Laws.

His academic career was focus on the University of Zaragoza and he outstood for receiving the Chair of Institutions of National Law at the Faculty of Laws and the Chair of the first academic year on Jurisprudence.

He was also a Royal Council lawyer.
