History:

Spanish professor. He started his academic training studying philosophy, Latin grammar and humanities at the Senior School of Santo Tomás in Seville. He was awarded a degree on Laws and Canons at the University of Seville. Some years later, he was awarded the doctorate at the Faculty of Jurisprudence. In addition, he studied three years of Theology.

His academic career started in 1828 when he was appointed rector of the Sunday Academy of Laws. One year later, he was designated professor of Canonical Institutions at the University of Seville. Moreover, he obtained the chair of Canonical Law and he was appointed vice dean at the Faculty of Jurisprudence at the same University.

In 1852 the Cardinal Archbishop gave him the Chair of Canons at the Conciliar Seminary.

He also carried out some activities as the interim dean.

He held other positions such as:

Royal Council lawyer.

Prosecutor.

He was appointed public notary of relationships at the Ecclesiastical Courts by the Cardinal Archbishop.

He collaborated in the I Vatican Council.

He was designated knight commander of the Spanish Order of Carlos III.
