History:

He was born in Huesca and married María Abarca y Blanque. He was a professor in Spanish Law and died in Zaragoza.

He studied Arts at Universidad de Huesca and graduated in Civil Law in 1804, obtaining his doctorate that same year. He studied forensic practice at the Academia Jurídico-Práctica of Zaragoza.

He was professor in Institutions of Spanish Law at Universidad de Huesca in 1816, and in Constitution from 1820 to 1822. He was also counselor and associate judge of the Rector and “maestreescuela”. He was professor in Forensic Practice, Public and Administrative Spanish Law and Theory of Proceedings: Forensic Practice at Universidad de Zaragoza since 1845. He was also in charge of the Theoretical-Practical Jurisprudence Academy.

In 1823 he was removed from his position as professor due to charges for his actions during the Trienio Liberal. Once the “purification” proceedings were done, he was declared “impure”. In 1826 he was readmitted as a professor.

He was also member of the Academia Jurídico-Práctica of Zaragoza and worked as an advisor at different towns and corporations and for the Council of Huesca. He was a city solicitor at the City Council of Huesca in 1815 and 1816. He founded the Bar Association of Huesca along with other lawyers from Huesca in 1841. He was also a member of the Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País de Huesca.
