Spanish professor and archivist. He was the son of Cándido Campos y Núñez de Castro (who was a lawyer, a professor at the Literary University of Granada, a district judge and a general archivists at the Bishopric of Granada) and María de la Purificación Pulido y Sánchez.

He started his academic training in 1886 studying the baccalaureate at the provincial high school of Granada. He studied the degrees of Law, and Philosophy and Literature at the University of Granada. He was awarded a doctorate on Law at the Universidad Central in Madrid with his thesis: “Estudio filosófico y crítico sobre la esclavitud” [Philosophic and Critique Study about Slavery].

His academic career started in 1899 when he was designated assistant supply professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Granada. He got the Chair of Canonical Law Institutions at the universities of Salamanca and Seville. He was transferred to the University of Granada.

He also carried out the following activities:

Lawyer at the honourable Bar Association of Granada.

Secretary at the Court of the Public and Private International Law.

General Archivist of the Archbishop from Granada and accountant-archivist from the Delegation of Chaplaincy and Reports at the same Archbishop.

Director at the Commerce School of Granada.
