Spanish deputy and head of department in Law. Born in Fefiñanes (Pontevedra). Pedro Vicente Rosende and María Francisca Cancela y Deán's son. He got married for the second time with Josefa Parga Toreiro. He died in Santiago de Compostela.

Rosende did secondary studied in Philosophy and Jurisprudence at the University of Santiago, and graduated in Law from the University of Santiago on 28th July 1825, obtaining a PhD on August 1825.

Head of Department in Roman Law at the University of Santiago in 1830. In 1845, he was named head of department in Early Stages of Law, History and Elements of Roman Law at this university. He retired in 1885.

Rosende held some other positions: tax syndic at the University from 1830, dean at the Faculty of Law of the University of Santiago from 1869 to 1886, vice-rector at the university in different periods of time, from 1852 to 1854 and in 1861, rector at the University of Santiago in different periods of time as well, and deputy at Courts in 1853.
