Spanish professor of Law and deputy. He was the son of Pedro de la Puente and Feliciana Apezechea. He married Constanza González y Nandín. His daughter Bella married Francisco Javier Giménez y Pérez de Vargas, who was a professor at the Madrid Law School. His son, Ramiro de la Puente González‑Nandín, Marquis of Alta Villa, served as secretary to Queen Isabel II during his years in Paris.
Pedro de la Puente Apecechea studied the baccalaureate at the Royal College of Pías Schools of San Antonio Abad in Madrid and he graduated in Jurisprudence on 24 July 1846 and in letters from the University of Seville on 8 March 1846. He got his PhD in Letters in 1847.
He was professor of Judicial Procedures and Forensic Practice at the Central University of Madrid in 1851 and professor of Institutions of Canon Law of that university in 1860.
