History:

Spanish jurist, theologist and professor. He was the son of José Ignacio de Eleizegui y de Ituarte and María Ignacia de Ituarte y de Iriondo.

He started his academic training with the baccalaureate on Philosophy. After that, he got his bachelor degree in the Faculty of Law at the University of Santiago and he was awarded a doctorate on Theology by the Universidad Central in Madrid.

During his academic career he outstood for being designated professor of Elements of Roman Law at the Faculty of Law, in the Division of Civil and Canonical Law at the University of Seville. He was transferred to the University of Santiago de Compostela where he took office of the chair of Elements of General and Particular Ecclesiastic Law, the chair of Roman Law, the chair of Ecclesiastic Discipline and the chair of Canonical Law Institutions. In addition, he was appointed Dean at the Faculty of Law.
