Spanish Law professor. He was the son of Leopoldo Escobedo Carbajal and María Ana González Alberu del Valle. He was the son of Saturnino and Leopoldo.

He started his academic training with the baccalaureate at the Institute of Oviedo. He got the degree of Law at the University of Oviedo and he was awarded a doctorate by the Universidad Central in Madrid.

He started his academic career being appointed an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law in Oviedo. He was designated professor of several chairs at the Universidad La Laguna and the first one was Canonical Law Institutions. He also became dean of the Faculty of Law and rector of the Universidad La Laguna.

He also held the following positions:

Member of the National Consultative Assembly during the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera.

Member of the first Spanish parliament in the Franco régime.
