He was a Spanish professor of Law who completed the high school at the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities and graduated in Law by the Universidad de Granada on the 17th of June, 1864, obtaining his doctorate in Law by the Universidad de Sevilla in 1869. Professor of Theory and Practice of writing of public instruments and legal actions of the Escuela del NOtariado de Sevilla in 1878. Professor of general Discipline of the Church and Particular of Spain of the Universidad de Granada in 1878. Professor of Institutions of Canon Law of the Universidad de Sevilla in 1880. Professor of Elements of Natural Law of the said university in 1884. He moved to the Universidad Central de Madrid in 1887, occupying the chair of Institutions of Canon Law.

Other positions he held were:

Lawyer of the Ilustres Colegios de Madrid, Sevilla and Granada since 1865. Academician of the Academia Sevillana de Jurisprudencia y Legislación. Substitute tax attorney of the Territorial Court of Sevilla in 1865.
