History:

He was a Spanish jurist who was born in Caleao (Asturias) and passed away in Oviedo.

He completed high school at the Instituto de Oviedo and graduated in Law at the Universidad de Oviedo, obtaining the doctorate in Law in 1905.

He was a professor of Institutions of Roman Law of the Universidad de Sevilla in 1911. He moved to the chair of Legal Proceedings and Forensic Practice at the Universidad de Oviedo in 1913. He was professor of Institutions of Roman Law of the said university since 1914 until his demise.

Other positions he held were:

Vice president of the Constitutional Guarantees Court, representing the Universities during the Republic.
