Spanish professor that was born in Valladolid, son of Juan González Ruiz de Cachupín and of María Casta Ibarra Pesquera. He began his academic training with the high school in Philosophy at the University of Valladolid and at the Colegio de las Escuelas Pías of Getafe. He obtained the degree at the Faculty of Jurisprudence of Valladolid. He studied the doctorate in Civil and Canon Law in Madrid.
His academic career began with him being appointed supernumerary professor of the University of Salamanca. He became permanent professor of Theory and Practice of Legal Proceedings. He was moved to the University of Valladolid to the chair of Institutions of Canon Law. Moreover, he was appointed Dean and Rector.
