Spanish professor of Law and lawyer, he was born in Jeréz de la Frontera (Cádiz) and passed away in Ronda (Málaga). He was called Andrés Francisco de Paula Miguel Pedro Lugardo Dionisio Cayetano. Son of Diego Gutiérrez and María Antonia Laborde, he was married with Aurora González-Nandín Agreda. He was doctor in Laws by the University of Seville.

His academic career was centered on the University of Seville. There, he began as a substitute of chair. He was appointed professor of Forensic Practice. Furthermore, he acquired the chair of Elements of Political Economy and Statistics. He swapped with Manuel Bedmar and moved to the chair of Elements of Trade and Criminal Law. Finally, he was moved to the Theory and Practice of Legal Proceedings.

Other activities he carried out were:

Lawyer of the Bar Association of Seville.

Prosecutor of a first instance civil court, Seville.

Substitute judge at the Court of Seville.

Spokesman of the Board of Public Instruction of the province (Seville).
