Spanish professor. He was born and passed away in Oviedo. Son of the composer Alejandro Jove y Puerta and Catalina Suárez Bravo. He married María Estrella Canella Secades.
He began his academic education completing the high school in the High School of Oviedo. He obtained the degree in Civil and Canon Law from the University of Oviedo. He received the doctorate in Law from the Central University of Madrid.
His academic career was centered in the University of Oviedo and began with him as an assistant professor of the Faculty of Law. He was professor of Elements of Political and Administrative Law.
Other activities he carried out were:
Writer and journalist, he collaborated in his youth in El Faro Asturiano, La Revista Ovetense, La Joven Asturias, El Eco de Avilés, El Noticiero de Asturias, among others.
Founder and Director of the diary El Carbayón.
Counselor of Public Instruction.
President of the Provincial Council [of Oviedo].
President of the party Unión Patriótica during the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera.
Academic member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
