He was a Spanish professor who was born in El Tejado (Salamanca). Son of Mariano Madruga Franco and Vicenta Jiménez García, he passed away in Salamanca.

He studied the high school at the Instituto de Salamanca and graduated in Law at the Universidad de Salamanca on the 16th of June, 1913, obtaining the doctorate in Law in 1915. The Junta de Ampliación de Estudios (JAE) granted him with a scholarship to continue his studies at the University of Zurich in 1915.

Professor of Institutions of Roman Law of the Universidad de La Laguna in 1926, he moved to the Universidad de Salamanca to the chair of Civil, Spanish, Common and Foral Law in the same year. He was appointed vice rector of the said university in 1930, stopping in 1951.

Dean of the Faculty of Law in 1956, he retired in 1960. Appointed honorary dean of the Faculty of Law in 1956. He was dismissed without sanction.

Other positions he held were:

President of the “Tribunal Tutelar de Menores de Salamanca” in 1959.
