History:

He was a Spanish professor of Law, born in Villar de los Navarros (Zaragoza). Son of Pascual Luño and Isabel Peña, he passed away in Barcelona.

He studied the high school at the Instituto de Zaragoza and graduated in Law at the Universidad de Zaragoza on the 14th of 1924, obtaining the doctorate in 1926. He obtained a scholarship from the Universidad de Zaragoza in 1925 to continue his studies in Italy and, in 1927, in Germany.

He was a professor of Natural Law of the Universidad de Santiago in 1931. Professor of Philosophy of Law of the Universidad de Barcelona in 1941. He was appointed vice dean of the faculty of Law of that university in 1942 and, in 1944, dean. Rector of the Universidad de Barcelona in 1945, he retired in 1970.

Other positions he held were:

Director of the "Caja de Pensiones para la Vejez y de Ahorros de Barcelona" in 1941. Deputy in 1945. President of the "Confederación Española de Cajas de Ahorros" in 1965.
