History:

He was a Spanish professor. Son of Cosme Laredo Gil and Teresa Polo Romera, he married María Antonia de Sarachaga y Sarachaga, of whom he became a widower. Due to testamentary disposition, which was given to him in 1877, he left the family fortune for the construction and maintaining of a hospital in Villarcayo (Burgos), under patronage of the mayor and the parish priest of the villa.

His academic career began with him as a substitute of the chair of Roman Law and Civil Institutions at the Universidad de Zaragoza. He was appointed professor of Hispanic Roman Digest. Due to a swap he took charge of the chair of Elemental History and Institutions of the Roman Law of the Universidad de Barcelona.
