Federico Fellini was an Italian worldwide known film director and scriptwriter. He first worked as draftsman and journalist, that let him to earn an important amount of money. At the beginning of his career as film director, he was influenced by the neorrealism of the age, but the most common subjects in his movies were the world of dreams, pathos, cruelty, happiness, grief, the strange, oddness, provocation, humor, show business and the mediterranean. Among his most outstanding movies are: "La Dolce Vita" (1960), "Nights of Cabiria" (1957) or "8½" (1963). He recieved many nominations and awards. Among them, he was nominated to the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film for "La Strada" (1954), "Nights of Cabiria" (1957), "8½" (1963) and "Amarcord" (1973), winning every time and, in 1993, he won the Oscar Honorory Award.
Federico Fellini fue un director de cine y guionista italiano mundialmente reconocido. Los inicios de su carrera se dieron como dibujante y en el mundo del periodismo, de esta forma empezó a ganar importantes cantidades de dinero. En sus inicios como director se ve influenciado por el Neorrealismo que imperaba en su época, pero las temáticas recurrentes de sus películas eran el mundo onírico, el patetismo, la crueldad, la felicidad, la desolación, lo diferente, lo extravagante, la provocación, el humor, la farándula y lo mediterráneo. Entre sus títulos más destacados se encuentran: La Dolce Vita (1960), Las noches de Cabiria (1957) o Fellini ocho y medio (1963). Recibió numerosas nominaciones y premios. Entre ellos, fue nominado al Oscar como mejor película extranjera por La Strada (1954), Las noches de Cabiria (1957), Fellini ocho y medio (1963) y Amarcord (1973), ganando las cuatro veces y en 1993 fue galardonado con un Óscar honorífico por su carrera.
