Legajo 17. 1791-1793. Correspondencia de varias autoridades militares a D. Esteban Miró. B, 16 cm., 400 letters. There are letters for all the months of 1791, for jan., feb., apr., may, and sept, 1792, and a few for 1789. Most are of june, nov., and dec, 1791, and jan., 1792. Most of the letters are numbered, and those of each month are fairly well together, otherwise the legajo is disorganized. The legajo consists of letters to Esteban Miró, governor of Luisiana, from the commandants of the various posts of the province, as follows:
Ignacio Acosta, Mobila; Elias Beauregard, Nogales; Miguel Cantrelle, Cabahannocer; Luis Deblanc, Natchitoches; Ignacio Delinó, Arkansas; Pedro Foucher, Nuevo Madrid; Carlos de Grand Pré, Natchez; Valentín Leblanc, Punta Cortada; Manuel Pérez, San Luis de Ilinueses; Tomás Portell, Nuevo Madrid; Francisco Rivas, Manchak; Marcos de Villiers, Galveztown; and Enrique White, Panzacola. There are also a few drafts of Miró to the foregoing. Subjects treated: Military matters; commerce; new settlers; land grants; and indian affairs. Special items: Lists of inhabitants who took the oath of allegiance at Nuevo Madrid; census of Nuevo Madrid; and report on the tobacco crop of Natchez
