Legajo 19. 1793. Correspondencia del Barón de Carondelet, gobernador de Nueva Orleans dirigida a las autoridades de varias plazas y fuertes que le estaban subordinadas. B, 20 cm., 500 documents.The bulk of the legajo is of the first half of 1793, about one-fourth of the letters being for the month of june. The letters of each month are pretty well together, otherwise the legajo is unorganized. The legajo consists of letters of Barón de Carondelet, governor of Luisiana, to his subordinates, as follows: Andrés Almonester y Rojas, Manuel Andry, Elías Beauregard, Luis Bertucat, Carlos Deblanc, Luis Deblanc, Ignacio Delinó, Nicolás Forstall, Manuel Gayoso de Lemos, Manuel Lanzós, Francisco Montreuil, Arturo O¿Neill, Tomás Portell, Francisco Rivas, Felipe Treviño, Zenón Trudeau, José Vázquez Vahamonde, and Enrique White. Those receiving the largest number of letters were Delinó, Gayoso de Lemos, O¿Neill, and White. Subjects treated: Instructions for procedure on account of the war; indian affairs, gifts, and supplies; the americans on the Ohio; Bowles and Welbank; commerce and indian trade. Special items: Copies of the declaration of war against France; cedula of 1793 regarding commerce (french and spanish copies) ; petitions of creditors who were seeking to secure the collection of debts
