Legajo 20. 1793. Correspondencia del Barón de Carondelet dirigida a las autoridades de varias plazas y fuertes que le estaban subordinadas. B, 22 cm., 700 letters. The legajo covers the months from may to dec., inclusive, of 1793, with a very few letters for feb. and apr., 1798. The legajo is badly disordered. The legajo consists of letters and drafts of Barón de Carondelet, governor of Luisiana, to his subordinates, as follows: Manuel Andry, Miguel Cantrelle, Francisco Caso y Luengo, Ignacio Delinó, Guillermo Duparc, Nicolás Forstall, Manuel Gayoso de Lemos, Gilberto Guillemard, Manuel Lanzós, Francisco Montreuil, Tomás Portell, Felipe Treviño, Félix Trudeau, Zenón Trudeau, José Vazquez Vahamonde, Marcos de Villiers, and Enrique White. Items of interest: Expedition of the french directed against Luisiana from the United States; instructions for the exclusion of the french from Luisiana; treaty with the indians at Nogales; notices regarding various convicts and their trials; and military affairs.
