Legajo 25. 1792, [1794]. Correspondencia dirigida al Barón de Carondelet por sus subordinadas. B, 44 cm., 900 letters. The correspondence covers all the months of 1792 and may of 1794. The letters of each month are mostly together, but otherwise the legajo is disorganized. The legajo consists of letters, together with drafts of replies, to Barón de Carondelet, governor of Luisiana, from his various subordinates, Andres Almonester y Rojas, Nueva Orleans; Elias Beauregard, Nogales; Michel Cantrelle, Cabahannocer (french) ; Francisco Caso y Luengo, Atakapas and Nueva Orleans; Juan Cortéz, Nacogdoches; Luis Deblanc, Natchitoches; Ignacio Delinó, San Esteban de Arkansas; Guillermo Duparc, Punta Cortada; Juan Errando, Pasa de Lutra; Nicolas Forstall, Opelousas (french) ; Pedro Foucher, Tombecbé; Manuel Gayoso de Lemos, San Fernando de las Barrancas and Natchez; José de Jaúdenes and José Ignacio de Viar, Filadelfia; Manuel Lanzós, Mobila; Valentin Leblanc, Punta Cortada; Pedro Olivier, Pequeño Talassie; Arturo O¿Neill, Panzacola; Manuel Perez, San Luis; José Pontalba, Nueva Orleans; Tomás Portell, Nuevo Madrid; Fr. The letters of 1794 are of Enrique White, Panzacola, to Carondelet. The most important subject is indian affairs, centering around McGillivray. Other items: Notices furnished the governor regarding vessels entering the Mississippi; lists of persons from the United States arriving at Natchez; list of indian traders at San Luis; and an inventory of the archives at the post of Attakapas.
