The letters are scattered through the entire year. Most of the legajo is of letters in french to the governor of Luisiana. The legajo comprises the following series of correspondence: (a) To Luis de Unzaga, governor of Luisiana, from Bellisle, Alemanes: Bobé, Nueva Orleans; Luis Bormé, Natchitoches; le chevalier de Bellevue, Alemanes; Charles Descoudreaux, Manchak; Elias Durnford, Panzacola (in english); Luis Dutisné, Iberville; Luis Judice, Cabahannossé and La Fourche; Valentín Layssard, Rápido; Atanasio de Mézières, Natchitoches (in spanish and french); Nicolás Verret, Cabahannosé; and Baltasar de Villiers, Punta Cortada. (b) Drafts of letters of Unzaga to the above listed individuals. (c) Letters of Pedro Piernas, San Luis, to Francisco Vallé. Items of interest: Inventory and valuation of supplies in the royal warehouse at San Luis; census of Attakapas and Opelousas; and census of Iberville. Most of the legajo deals with routine affairs.
