Legajo 205. 1792, [1772, 1791, 1793, 1794]. Correspondencia nacional y extranjera entre los gobernadores de las Floridas y varias autoridades extranjeras. C, 26 cm., 600 letters. Most of the legajo is of the year 1792, all the months being represented. There are only a very few documents for the other years noted. The corre spondence is badly in disorder. The legajo contains the following series of correspondence, most of it in french and english:

Subjects treated: The most important and extensive part of the correspondence deals with McGillivray, also indian relations--Choctaws, Chickasaws, and Cherokees; dealings of the United States with the Choctaws and Chickasaws; William A. Bowles and the english; and loyal legion of the militia, of which Enrique Wite was commander. Special items: 1772, certificate of survey of residence of Luis Judice; 1792, peace between the Chickasaws, Choctaws, and Osages; census of Rápido (jan. 14); regulations for the treatment of negro slaves, by Carondelet (july 11); and, 1794, petition of Bartolomé Tardiveau regarding settlements in Illinois
