Legajo 429. 1780-1804. Correspondencia oficial de la tesorería. (Florida Oriental 147.) B, 44.5 cm., 1200 letters. The letters of this legajo cover the entire period from jan., 1790, to dec., 1804. They are arranged in chronological order. The legajo consists of the drafts of letters from the contador of San Agustín, Gonzalo Zamorano, to the treasurers, Bartolomé Benítez y Gálvez (jan., 1790-oct., 1792), Felipe Aguirre (oct., 1792-aug., 1793), Juan Crisóstomo de Acosta (sept., 1793-mar., 1797), and José Antonio de Iguiniz (apr. 1797-dec., 1804). Most of the drafts are brief, dealing with the financial administration of San Agustín. Most give notice of amounts which should be paid into the treasury, especially what was due from import and export duties. Many liquidaciones de registros de entrada are enclosed (drafts)
