Correspondencia dirigida a los intendentes de Luisiana y Florida por los oficiales reales de Veracruz, México, Mérida de Yucatán, Campeche, Chihuahua, Guatemala, etc.
Legajo 592. 1801-1812. Correspondencia de oficio. (Luisiana 105.) A, 11 cm., 350 letters. There are documents for the years 1788, 1789, 1795-1801, 1803-1812. They are in fairly good order. The legajo is composed of letters to the intendants of Luisiana and Florida, together with the replies. The legajo consists of the following series of correspondence:
(a) 'Veracruz´´, 1801-1812. Letters to the intendants of Nueva Orleans and Panzacola from the intendants and oficiales reales of Veracruz, including Francisco Antonio de Agudo, Bernardo José Benitez, Francisco de Boisselle, Antonio de Cárdenas, Ciriaco Ceballos, Garcia Dávila, Pedro Telmo Landero, and Carlos de Urrutia. (b) 'México libranzas´´, 1806-1812. Letters to the intendants of Luisiana from the archbishop-viceroy Francisco Javier de Lizana y Beaumont, Pedro Garibay, José de Iturrigaray, and Francisco Venegas, all of México. (c) Maria José de Alegría, of the Tribunal de Cuentas de México, to Esteban Miró and Martin Navarro; Miguel José de Azanza and Félix Berenguer de Marquina to the intendants of Luisiana; Nemesio Salcedo, Chihuahua, to Juan Ventura Morales; and Benito Pérez, Mérida de Yucatán, to Morales. These letters deal almost entirely with the situado of Luisiana, many of them being drafts issued against the intendants of Luisiana
