Legajo 1912. 1818-1819. Reales órdenes del ministerio de la Guerra referentes a las Floridas. (Cienfuegos 45; Capitanes Generales 864.) B, 15.5 cm., 200 documents. The documents cover the period from jan., 1818, to june, 1819. The legajo consists of royal orders directed to José Cienfuegos as captain general of the two Floridas, by the ministers of war. They were in turn transmitted by Cienfuegos to the governors and commandants in Florida. These are the general military orders applicable to the Floridas, but few make specific mention of those regions. Many relate to the petitions of officials, and many are general orders regarding the revolutionary movements in América. Special orders: 1818, commission to José Masot as governor of Panzacola (mar. 6); and occupation of Isla Amelia by the americans (apr.)
