Legajo 121, 1790, [1786, 1789, 1793]. Correspondencia al Gobernador de la Luisiana. B, 16.5 cm., 350 documents. Most of the legajo is of the year 1789, covering all the months. There are very few documents for the other years noted. The legajo is in disorder. The legajo consists of the following series of correspondence:
(a) Letters to governor Esteban Miró from Fray Cirilo de Barcelona, Nueva Orleans; Miguel Cantrelle, Cabahannocer; Luis Deblanc, Natchitoches; José Deville Degoutin, Mobila; Carlos de Villiers, San Juan; Marcos de Villiers, Galveztown; Luis Estrada, Panzacola; Pedro Foucher, Nuevo Madrid; Pedro de La Ronde, San Bernardo; José Petely, Panzacola; and José Valliere, Arkansas. (b) Drafts of letters of Miró to all of the above and also to Ignacio Balderas, Barón de Brouner, Domingo Cabello, Nicolás Daunoy, Juan Delavillebeuvre, Ignacio Delinó, Vicente Folch, Nicolás Forstall, Carlos de Grand Pré, Manuel Perez, Francisco Rivas, Nicolás de Verbois, Luis de Villars, and José Villiers. (c) Francisco Collell, Nueva Orleans, to José Valliere; José Monroy, San Marcos de Apalache, to Jacobo Dubreuil and Enrique White; and Enrique White, Panzacola, to Luis Bertucat. Items of interest: 1786, copy of the treaty of Hopewell between the United States and the Choctaws (jan. 3) ; 1788, copy of the report of commission of Congress regarding indian affairs; copies of letters of Andrés Pickens and José Martin to Alejandro McGillivray and indian chiefs; proclamation of Congress regarding indian affairs (sept. 1); 1788-1790, part of a letter-book of the commandant at Punta Cortada to the governor (nos. 1-46 (part), 1788, dec, 18-1790, dec. 10) ; 1790, oaths of allegiance taken at Nuevo Madrid; permissions granted to various individuals at Tenerife to embark for Habana; inventory of artillery at Mobila (jan.); census of Ouachita (jan. 2); instructions given by Pedro Piernas to the commandant of Arkansas (may 17); description of the commerce of Florida by Luis Fatio (Habana, nov. 17); inventory of artillery at Panzacola (dec.); indian affairs; and, 1793, copy of the treaty of Nogales between Spain and the Chickasaw, Creek, Talapuche, Alibamones, Cherokee, and Choctaw indians
