Correspondencia del Gobierno y Contaduría General.
Legajo 428. 1814-1821. Correspondencia oficial del gobierno y contaduría general. (Florida Oriental 146.) B, 42.5 cm., 1100 letters. The letters are scattered through the years 1814-1821, but many months are not represented. The documents of each year are together but are not in order. The legajo consists mostly of the letters of the governor to the treasury officials, with the drafts of the replies. The legajo consists of the following series of correspondence:
(a) To Sebastián Kindelán from: 1814, Manuel López and Juan José Robles, San
Agustín; 1814-1815, Tomás Llorente, San Nicolás, and Ignacio Salens, San Agustín. (b) To Manuel López from: 1814, Tadeo Arribas, Fernandina, and Sebastián Kindelán, San Agustíne. (c) 1815. To the ministros de real hacienda, Manuel López and Gonzalo Garcia de Prado, from Sebastián Kindelán and Juan José de Estrada. (d) 1816-1821. To the oficiales reales, Gonzalo García de Prado and Tadeo Arribas, from José Coppinger (with drafts of replies); 1818-1819, Julián Fernández and Claudio Martinez de Pinillos, Habana (with drafts of replies). (e) To José Coppinger from: 1816, Tadeo Arribas, San Agustín; 1817, Tomás Llorente, San Nicolás, and Ignacio Salens, San Agustín. (f) To Gonzalo García de Prado from: 1821, Francisco Reyes and Juan José Robles, San Agustín. Subjects treated: Finances; supplies; movements of soldiers and military convicts. There are included the budgets for 1815-1817, which give lists of officials and their salaries; and a report of the damages and expenses caused to the treasury of Florida Oriental by the invasions from american territory since 1812 (feb. 25, 1818))
