History:

Deutsch, Julius Herman was born on the 20th of May 1910 in Germany, he was German American because he was naturalized citizen through his father. He attended university during 4 years, he worked as writer and physiologist, and he was member of the Communist Party. He sailed on the 20th of February 1937 aboard the "Ile de France" and arrived in Spain on the 17th March 1937. He returned to the United States on the 20th of December 1938 aboard the "Ausonia" and served during the Second World War in the United States Army. He enlisted in March 1942 as a Private and ended as 2nd Lieutenant. He died on the 30th of September 1996 in Coronado, California and he was buried in family cemetery Murphysboro, Illinois.
