History:

Veltfort, Theodore Ernest Jr. was born on the 29th of February 1915 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He attended Princeton for two years and Swarthmore. He worked as radio technician. He joined the Young Communist League and the Communist Party 1936. He arrived in Spain in July 1937. He served with the 15th International Brigade, in the General Staff, Medical Services as Ambulance driver with the rank of private. He returned to the United States on the 20th of December 1938 aboard the "Ausonia". He went to the Second World War with United States Army Air Service. He died on the 7th of April 2008 in Oakland, California.
