Spanish poet and publisher that was exiled.
He was son of Bernardo Giner de los Ríos García and Elsa Morales. He studied in the University of Madrid and the "Institución Libre de Enseñanza", created by his great-uncle Francisco Giner de los Ríos, brother of his paternal grandfather.
He served during the war in the Sappers force in Valencia. He went to France in February 1939 and was sent to a concentration camp, though he stayed for a short period of time. He was forced to move to Mexico with his parents and siblings without finishing his studies. In Mexico, he joined the "Fondo de Cultura Económica" publishing house, where founded the "Litoral" magazine. He was in important executive of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL). His most outstanding works are "La rama viva", "La jornada hecha", "Pasión primera" and "Llanto por Emilio Prados". He returned to Spain when the Democracy started. His wife was María Luisa Díez-Cañedo Manteca and had three children.
