History:

Spanish architect that exiled in Mexico. In 1934, he finished his Architecture degree in Madrid. During this years, he became friend of Federico García Lorca, Pablo Neruda, León Felipe, etc. In 1935, he particpated in the "Concurso Nacional de Arquitectura", along with other three architects, and won the first prize. He was an active member of the Communist Party (PC) and served in the Spanish Civil War, being sent to the Aragón front.

When the war was finished, he moved to France and entered Saint Cyprien concentration camp. He went to Mexico on board the ship of the "Compagnie Generale Trasatlantique", funded by the Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE). He held a professorship in the University of Veracruz (Mexico) and worked in "Eureka" company since 1941 until 1950, but later left the job. He became Mexican citizen in 1947 and returned to Spain in 1970, but only for a visit.
