History:

Spanish accountant who was exiled. Son of a statutory auditor that took part in the historical republican movement. He carried out his basic studies in Figueras and worked as administrative in Casa Benet, a bicycle factory. He joined the Republican Youth of Spain in Figueras and later the Workers and Peasants' Bloc. He declared himself to be freemason. He got married in 1934 and had a son.

He was designated director of the Figueras penitentiary by the Party in 1938. Afterwards, he was compulsorily recruited by the army and spent six months in the front, and then went to France, where he exiled. He first arrived to Septfonds concentration camp, from where he escaped with the help of a masons group and a relative of him. He got to meet his family in Rivesaltes, where they lived for some time. They later moved to Mauvaisin with the help of a masonic organization and the JARE because he was pursued by the Stalinists and the Francoists, something that forced him to change his identity. His second son was born in France and he worked in Toulouse in a gunpowder factory.

He finally went with his family to Marseille and got to take the last ship of refugees that headed to Mexico, the "Nyassa". They arrived to Veracruz in October 1942.
