Spanish that exiled in Mexico and whose parents were Spanish emigrants as well. He studied with the Jesuits and joined the "Falange", but without any political affinity. He was also member of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE). He traveled inside and outside Spain for some time but, when the Spanish Civil War started, he settled in Mexico. He returned to Spain after the war. During the post-war period, he took shelter in Lisbon and visited the Vatican along with his sister and his brother-in-law, where he attended a papal audience. He also went to Paris in order to collaborate with the PCE. He was friend of Fernando Claudín and worked in "Siglo XX EditoresI" publishing house.
