History:

Cristina Pedreira de Tenreiro was a Spanish archivist who was exiled in Mexico. He married the politician Ramón María de Tenreiro, who died in Switzerland in 1939. Already a widow, she went into exile in Mexico, leaving France in December 1939 and arriving in Nuevo Laredo (Mexico) in February 1940.In Mexico she was a member of the Women's Committee of JARE, that was created to give instruction and education to the children of Spanish refugees.
