Spanish exiled in Mexico. Doctor of Chemical Sciences. Mayor of Montcada i Reixac (Barcelona, Spain). Politician. Married with Rosario Albert Puig. Father of Rosario Boix Albert (1925-¿). He began his academic education studying chemistry and pharmacy at the University of Barcelona. He obtained his doctorate in Madrid (possibly, from the Central University). He spoke French. Activist of the trade union UGT. He worked as organic chemistry professor at the University of Barcelona and as a chemistry teacher at the Institute Pino y Margall. He was candidate for the Parliament of Catalonia on the elections of 1932 by Acción Catalana at the circumscription of Barcelona (he was not chosen). He joined Esquerra Republicana of Catalonia and he was chosen mayor of Montcada i Reixac (1934 and 1936). Before and during the Spanish Civil War he was the director of the Instituto de Segunda Enseñanza (Institute of Second Lesson) in Granollers (Barcelona). Political refugee in Mexico. He was helped by the SERE. First, he went into exile to France. He belonged to the College Board of Toulouse 29, Rue des Prepers. He entered in Veracruz on board of the ship Sinaia at the age of 39 (with his wife and daughter). He worked in Mexico as a chemist at the laboratories Laquisa of Cèsar Pi-Sunyer i Bayo, and later at the laboratories Hormona, Biosynth and Beick-Felix. He was teacher of chemistry at the high School Lluís Vives. He wrote articles about chemistry. He wrote articles about scientists’ biographies for the magazine Pont Azul. He wrote articles about Anselm Turmeda and Ramon Llull. He collaborated with the Catalonian choral society of Mexico.
