Spanish lawyer, writer and cinematograph, exiled in Mexico. He studied Law and Philosophy and Literature. Member of the UGT, he spent three days in jail before the proclamation of the Second Republic. He was friend of the writers García Lorca and Vicente Aleixandre and couple of the latter.
During the Spanish Civil War he fought at the militias of Asturias and in the Carabiniers, where he reached the rank of captain. Once the conflict was over he crossed the border and, after leaving behind the French concentration camps, he went into exile to Mexico. He arrived on board of the ship Ipanema in July, 1939. In Mexico he dedicated himself to cinematography and, in 1947, he married the Mexican typist María de la Luz Ramírez Castillo. A year later he would commit suicide in Mexico D.F.
