Mayor, provincial deputy and president of the Council of Cuenca.

Ruis Zunón was elected Mayor of Tarancón in 1993, provincial deputy and Council of Cuenca in 1934, civil governor of Soria and Jaen in 1935 and 1936. He was also the director of the Trans Mediterranean Company. He was a member of the Socialist Radical Party and shortly after, of the Republican Union.

Rius Zunón went into exile to Mexico on June 1939 along with his wife Manuela Azcoita and their children, Luis and Elisa. Carlos Rius Zuñón, his brother, and Carlos' wofe, María de la Pola Martínez. In his migration record, he mentioned Marcial Bugeda Muñoz as his referent in Mexico. He's a beneficiary of the funds of the Board of Help of the Spanish Republic and the Service of Evacuation of Spanish Refugees.

In Mexico, Rius Zunón worked in an accountant section, as a professor in Spanish Language and Literature at the Spanish-American School, and as an administrative manager of a cinema company until his death. He created the magazine named "El Candil" in 1968, and a lyric-poetic music group with which he let the Spanish folklore know through Mexico, even performing in the Karnegie Hall of New York.

Rius Zinón died in Mexico. Since August 1993, he has been buried along with his wife in Tarancón.
