History:

Lina Wertmuller is an Italian film director and scriptwriter. She comes from an upper-class family. Her father was a German lawyer. Since she was a kid, she has been interested in show business and theatre. Her first works were in radio and television. Since the sixties, she began working as scriptwriter and film director in the cinema business. Almost all her movies deal with political and social matters, and espcially anarchism, communism and feminism. She susually uses long titles in his movies and other works. She has been nominated to the Oscars and the Golden Globes many times. Among his most important movies are: "The Seduction of Mimi" (1972), "Seven Beauties" (1975) and "Swept Away" (1974).
