Henry Koster was an American of German origin film director and scriptwriter. He began his career in cinema since he was young along with Joe Paternak, Universal Pictures' agent in Europe. When the nazism arrived, he moved to Hollywood, where he met great directors. He was hired by many companies, but he stood out especially with movies in the Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation. Among his most famous movies are: "The Bishop's Wife" (1947), "Harvey" (1950), "The Robe" (1953), "The Virgin Queen" (1955) and "Flower Drum Song" (1961).
