Larry Buchanan was an American scriptwriter, film director and producer. He started working in a department of the 20th Century Fox and then began his passion for cinema. He first worked as actor, but soon changed to directing and producing movies. Most of his films are B movies and can be found among the worst movies of public domain. He is considered "the worst director of history", but to others he is a genius in his field. He called himself "Schlockmeister", which means low-cost film producer. Among his most famous movies are: "Zontar: The Thing from Venus" (1966), "In the Year 2889" (1976), "It's Alive!" (1969) and "Mars Needs Women" (1967).
