In his file, dated February 22nd 1937, it is documented that he was a single, 25 year-old man living in Calle Zurbarán, 2 in Madrid and that he was working for the Scottish Ambulance Unit, counting on the endorsement of this institution and the signature of the Commandant, Fernanda Jacobsen.
