She was a Spanish archivist and she joined the Corps of Archivists, Librarians and Archeologists in 1954. She was the director of the Spanish National Center of Documental and Bibliographic Conservation and Microfilming
Centro Nacional de Conservación y Microfilmación Documental y Bibliográficaand chief of the AHN Modern Documentation Department in 1962. She taught Conservation (of buildings and facilities, restoration and reprography) in the workshops of Archives¿ Organization and Administration organized by the Organization of Americans States (OAS). She ruled the Spanish National Historical Archive between 1984 and 1989, when she retired. Additionally, she was member of the Committee of Conservation and Restoration of the International Council on Archives. In 2005, the Spanish Ministry of Culture awarded her with the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts. Among her bibliography it is worth remembering what she published some works about the conservation of archives.
